FBI- Alexis Murphy's phone has been found

Posted: Updated:

The FBI and other investigating agencies said today that they have recovered Alexis Murphy's phone. Earlier, they had been asking for the public's help in finding the missing teen's phone. During the course of their investigation, they have recovered several phones, all of which were sent to the FBI Laboratory for testing.

Testing of one of the phones confirmed that it belonged to Alexis Murphy. In their release, police said they are letting the public know that the phone has been identified so the public knows their help is no longer needed in finding that particular item. Investigators are not saying where the phone was found, and have said they will not comment further.
